Does it feel like nothing is ever good enough and neither are you?

You're SO busy and you hold yourself to unrealistic,  perfectionistic standards. While you're very hardworking, you feel stuck in many ways. You've tried, but you can't run from the negative voices in your head. No one knows you're suffering and you find yourself thinking the same stressful thoughts over and over.

There's hope. You can get off the hamster wheel!

Uncover your "good enough" self!
I work with individuals usually on a weekly or twice-weekly basis,
on the following issues:

1. Trauma Therapy (from childhood or adulthood)

2. Anxiety Therapy

3. Overcoming Perfectionism

These issues (attachment disruptions) may constellate as destructive relationship patterns, depression, anxiety, compulsive and repetitive behaviors (drinking, eating, obsessive thinking, etc.), controlling behavior, and low self-esteem, shame, to name a few.

These can be eased so you have more choice and freedom in your life.

“If only he/she would change!” is a common plea I hear when people first come in for couple’s counseling.

My work explores the specific dynamics you’ve created together, how you can better communicate with one another, and work with you both to determine whether the relationship will become more vibrant and healthy, or whether you need help separating.

I work with both opposite-sex and single-sex couples of diverse backgrounds.

EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is an evidence-based treatment for shock trauma and developmental (complex) trauma.

When a trauma occurs it becomes locked in the nervous system with the original picture, sounds, thoughts and feelings. EMDR uses eye movements or other bilateral stimulation to unlock the nervous system and allow the mind and body to process the experience.
